How much does therapy cost?

Counselling and Psychotherapy Fees

Fees

All Counselling or Psychotherapy sessions for individuals and couples are charged at a set rate of £60 a session. The fee for an initial assessment currently remains at £60, though there is a slightly higher fee of £65 for family therapy. In certain circumstances rates can be renegotiated, but only subsequent to the initial assessment and by separate agreement with the therapist you have been allocated.

Session fees are normally paid for digitally, either after each session, or in advance for an agreed number of sessions. Other arrangements are possible but will need to be negotiated with each individual therapist. Currently the service prefers Credit/Debit card payments for convenience, or with prior agreement of the therapist a BACS payment on a monthly invoice basis is also possible.

Please note: Clients are expected to pay in full for missed or cancelled sessions if less than 24 hours-notice is given.

Individual sessions last between 50 minutes to an hour in length, depending on the therapist.
