Gwion Jones trained as a Lacanian Psychoanalyst and has 35 years clinical experience. He lectures in the Clinical Psychology Department at Coventry University, supervises a number of Counsellors and Psychotherapists in the area, is a Registered Psychotherapist and Supervisor with UKCP, Chair of CPJA, Board Member of the College of Psychoanalysts UK, Senior Registered Practitioner with BACP, and a Member of the British Association of Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Supervision www.gwionjones.co.uk
Clinical Lead
Tina Mann is a BACP Accredited Practitioner conducting a number of the initial assessments here at Worcester Therapy Group. She has a Masters in Psychodynamic Counselling as well as a BSc. in Human Communication & its Disorders. In addition she is a trained Couples Counsellor and has a Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy, and is one of 4 couples therapists attached to the practice. More recently, Tina has achieved a Diploma in Grief Counselling and a Certificate in Understanding Autism. She has 20 years clinical experience, having worked for many years in the field of alcohol misuse with the Worcestershire Community Alcohol Team.
Practice Manager
Sarah Moonan graduated with a BSc in Psychology in 2020 before subsequently going on to train as a Psychotherapist and has recently completed her MSc in Psychotherapy and Counselling at the University of Warwick. Prior to joining the service as Trainee Practice Manager, she worked as a Mental Health Support Worker and has a particular interest in supporting young people who have been subjected to trauma.

Kath has an MSc in Psychology, alongside her role as Clinical Secretary she works as an Eating Disorders Clinician and has extensive experience in frontline NHS administration.
Individual Therapy
Dr. Kat Godfrey-Djundja
Kat is a Counselling Psychologist and Integrative Psychotherapist. She has 9 years clinical experience working with adults across a variety of settings, initially in the field of substance misuse. In this time she has worked in two different psychology departments within the NHS in Worcestershire, taking referrals from both primary and secondary care. Kat describes herself as an Integrative Psychotherapist with strong roots in the psychoanalytic field. She is a native German speaker and is able to offer therapy in German.
Dr. Shalini Masih
Shalini is a qualified Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, currently undergoing further training at the Tavistock Clinic in London. She gained a PhD in Psychology in 2015 and has taught at various institutions up to Masters level, including counselling and psychotherapy courses at Birkbeck College, University of London. She has 14 years clinical experience working with both young people and adults across a variety of settings, specialising in clients presenting with complex issues. She is a published author, participates in a wide range of study groups and has gained several prestigious awards in the field of psychoanalysis. Shalini is able to offer therapy in both English and Hindi.
Dr. Ali Khoshfetrat
Ali is a qualified Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. He is also a lecturer in clinical psychology at a local university and has taught psychotherapy and counselling modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Ali is an Integrative Psychotherapist with strong roots in the psychodynamic tradition. With over 10 years’ experience, he has worked with patients with complex problems ranging from depression and anxiety to more long-standing issues such as relational difficulties. Ali has worked in Ireland and the UK in both private and public healthcare settings.
Alison Justice
Alison is a BACP Accredited Psychodynamic Counsellor with over 10 years’ experience in an agency contracted to the NHS. Before training as a counsellor she worked in Business as well as previously in an Academic setting. She is about to complete a course in clinical supervision and facilitates a diploma level supervision group at Gloucestershire Counselling Service. She has a specialist interest in un-mourned loss, as well as a research interest in the impact of inter-generational issues as manifested in therapeutic work.
Lorna Cavalier
Lorna had 8 years experience as a Mental Health Nurse before going on to pursue further training as an Integrative Counsellor at Iron Mill College in Exeter. She has worked extensively in various mental health settings, both in primary and secondary care, and is experienced with working with clients with complex difficulties, along with individuals enduring long term mental health problems such as addiction and substance misuse. She is especially passionate about the potential of integrating art into the therapeutic process.
Neil Phipps
Neil completed a 4 year Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2022, acquiring further training in Transactional Analysis and Neuro Linguistic Programming. His first degree was in English Literary Studies and Education Studies, and in his practice, he endeavours to integrate more creative approaches into the therapeutic process including poetry, journaling, and other forms of art. Neil has been a listening volunteer for the Samaritans since 2017.
Amy Drake
Amy completed her Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2018 and works with both adults and children. She has worked with local schools across Worcestershire, delivering counselling support to children as well as specialist training to staff on enhancing children’s mental health awareness. Amy will often use psychoeducation tools and other creative methods if needed in session.
Kam Kandola
Kam is a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist having qualified with a Masters in Gestalt Psychotherapy from Metanoia Institute, as well as previously gaining a BSc. in Human Psychology. She has over 20 years clinical experience, 18 of these working in substance use services in prisons and 10 years in the NHS working in dual diagnosis services, with extensive experience delivering therapy to both adolescents and adults. Kam is also able to offer therapy in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.
Matt Patterson
Matt qualified with a Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling and specialises in Archetypal and Transpersonal Therapy. He adopts an holistic approach looking at both the conscious and unconscious aspects of the psyche, exploring issues in the context of a person’s life as a whole, including cultural, historical and environmental aspects as well as family history and current circumstances. Matt is interested in difference, diversity and men’s issues, with experience of working in Buddhist communities for over 15 years.
Julie Stevens
Julie has over 20 years experience working as a Mental Health Nurse within both the NHS and private sector. She made the decision to retrain to be a counsellor and qualified with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2021. Julie is an Integrative Counsellor adapting her therapeutic approach to suit the individual client’s needs, using Psychodynamic and Person-Centred principals. She has experience working both short and longer term with children, young people and adults.
Stephanie Bews-Pugh
Stephanie is a Psychologist with over 15 years experience providing support to clients within various mental health and addictions services. During this time she has received training in a variety of psychological and counselling approaches, utilising both CBT and Person-Centred approaches. Most recently she has commenced further training towards her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. She has a specialist expertise in issues surrounding neurodiversity, with a strong focus on experiences of exclusion and of being ‘different’, supporting clients in gaining a deeper understanding of diagnostic labels. Much of this experience has been gained in a professional capacity providing post diagnostic support to individuals receiving a diagnosis of Autism, including to women and girls.

Diane is experienced in supporting patients with autism and neurodiversity and provides an individualised approach to enable them to access a therapeutic experience. She offers Infant and Parent work, parent work and consultations for professionals seeking support.
Rachel Tuck
Rachel is a BACP Accredited practitioner with a BA in Integrative Counselling along with a specialist interest in-depth bereavement work. For 12 years she occupied the role of Practice Manager at Worcester Therapy Group, recently handing over those reigns but continuing as an Associate therapist. She has worked within hospice settings dealing with bereavement through cancer and has experience working with bereavement through suicide volunteering for SOBS charity (Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide). In addition Rachel has taught for many years on a Counselling Diploma at a local college.

Helen has an MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy: Children and Adolescents and has 11 years clinical experience of working across all ages groups. Her interest and specialism is working with young people and has worked within Worcestershire’s Drug and Alcohol service for a number of years supporting children and adolescents with their emotional needs and building resilience. Fedja Dalagija
Fedja is a UKCP registered Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with over 18 years clinical experience gained in different settings including the NHS, as well as charitable organisations such Youth Counselling, Mind and the Red Admiral Project. He trained initially as a Counsellor before embarking on a lengthy training to become a Psychotherapist. Over the years Fedja has worked with a diverse range of client groups and endeavours to be sensitive to the effects of gender, class and race in his understanding of both individuals and couples.
Trudie Clark
Trudie is a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist with an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy and a prior degree in Nursing Studies. She has worked for 37 years as an RMN (Registered mental nurse) in a variety of mental health settings, and more recently worked in the community specialising in older adult mental health. She adopts a largely integrative approach, incorporating the theories of Gestalt, Person Centred and Attachment Theory and uses creative approaches such as art to enable clients to express themselves if they can’t find the words.
Christopher Walmsley
Christopher has an MSc. in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. His expertise is in the treatment of 16+ adolescents and his particular skill is in the adaptation of his therapeutic style to suit each individual, with the aim of providing a safe and secure place for the client to begin to explore their difficulties and experiences. Chris adopts a person-centred approach primarily but is also able to incorporate other modalities into his work e.g. CBT, Solution Focused, and Attachment Based interventions.

She has over 3 years post qualification experience working previously in a hospice care setting as well as volunteering to support survivors of domestic abuse, lending to a particular specialism in both bereavement and domestic abuse. In addition Fay has 3 years experience as a Specialist Mental Health Mentor at the University of Worcester, gaining extensive knowledge around the issues young people face and especially those with additional learning needs.

Nicole Nicolson
Nicole is a Registered Mental Health Nurse with over fifteen years experience in the NHS, working in acute adult mental health wards, forensic hospitals and community mental health teams. She is a qualified couples counsellor and an integrative therapist, drawing on psychodynamic, Gestalt and systemic approaches and has worked extensively with complex problems and difficulties. Nicole is currently undertaking further training to gain an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy.
Sarah Clay
Sarah is a Humanistic and Integrative therapist with 10 years experience working in private practice. She previously had a career as a Physiotherapist within the NHS and retrained to gain a BSc in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling from the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute. Sarah has an interest in how the past informs the present and also the connection between mind and body. She has worked with clients who are suffering physical illnesses which have an impact on their mental health.

She also has specialist experience of helping individuals with various forms of sex-addiction. She spent ten years in the field of management training before switching focus to train as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.
